Sarah McLeod holds a Bachelor of Environment in Global Environmental Systems and a GIS certificate from Simon Fraser University. As Seed Coordinator at the Nupqu Native Plant Nursery, Sarah is responsible for managing all consultation projects involving native plant identification, native plant prescriptions, geo-spatial data, data management, and seed quality assurance. Sarah oversees a team of native plant technicians that focus their work on native plants in the traditional territory of the Ktunaxa nation. Primarily, their work involves vegetation population analysis, prescriptions, seed collection, seed testing, and pre-germination and germination care. Sarah also works closely with Melanie Redman in supporting the onsite nursery operations, nursery contracts, and client communications.
