Aaron Sun is a Forestry Coordinator with a Bachelor of Science in Forestry and a Master of Sustainable Forest Management degree from UBC. He is currently enrolled with the FPBC as a Forester-in-Training. A recent graduate, he joined Nupqu in 2025 with the hopes of gaining experience in the forest industry. His knowledge ranges from forest health and silviculture to GIS and forest inventory modelling. Since joining Nupqu, he has gained an Intermediate First Aid certificate and has become a certified Danger Tree Assessor.

Working closely with Yvan Kathriner, he supports Yvan on a variety of different projects, including co-leading a team of sawyers and logistical and administrative support. He has also led several projects related to wildfire risk reduction and ecosystem restoration.
