Jonas joined Nupqu in 2023 as GIS & Technology Manager, bringing over eight years of expertise in geospatial solutions. He oversees spatial data management, GIS analysis, cartography, and the integration of new technologies to support Nupqu’s interdisciplinary projects. With a Master’s in Geophysics and Geomatics and experience spanning Canada, Chile, Australia, Brazil, and Mexico, Jonas uses tools like the ESRI Suite to create high-quality geospatial products, including drone-based mapping and 3D geological models. He also leads staff training and mentors junior GIS specialists, fostering technical growth within the team.
Outside of work, Jonas is passionate about using technology to drive efficiency and collaboration. He treasures time with his family and shares his love for music by performing with Brazilian cultural groups in Canada. Working with Nupqu allows him to apply his skills to projects that make a meaningful impact on the community.
